Federico, After you remove the washer you might reinsert the pivot screw and turn it all the way in until it either bottoms out or the head is flush with the index arm pivot. There will be a small gap between the underside of the head and the female part of the pivot assembly. Then apply a light tap to the screw head. When the tapered pivot separates remove the screw and remove the arm. Less chance for damage to the thread that way. Good luck. Fingers Crossed.
