    StarCalc by the Russian programmer Alexander Zavalishin is fantastic and is
    free to download (+ many plugins) from his website
    For max. effect make sure you use star colouring. Many features are
    customiseable - read his instructions in the .txt files. I have been using
    it for years and can't understand why he is not charging for it - he
    explained to me once that this is his hobby and money he earns elsewhere.
