If anyone is interested, I have written a Windows app to do sight reduction, produce an almanac entry for a given object, and draw a sky chart complete with constellation outlines. You can have my efforts for free. See http://ns.doit.wisc.edu/~mdorl files SIGHT RELEASE NOTES.DOC for some prose and SIGHTS_APP.ZIP for the actual application. I live in the boonies and do not have access to any high speed Internet access (I suspect the local telco uses barb wire fences as transmission facilities) so my bandwidth is somewhat limited so despite what the release notes say, the source is not currently on-line. If you are interested in the source, let me know and I'll put it on-line. Michael Dorl
