Greetings from a new member to this group.
I've been an avid yachtsman for most of my life and have always managed to find my way by compass and sextant, albeit with the aid of Decca, and latterly the wonders of GPS. My interests in traditional methods of navigation have never waned however and I am keen to develop my skills.
If of interest to the group I've attached the following links to some spreadsheets I developed to aid my own understanding.
The perpetual almanacs are for the SUN only and will give you GHA and Declination for the next hundred years or so.
The Sight Reduction spreadsheet lets you enter your GPS position as your EP. Something I found very useful when I was in the Med and the US Dept. of Defense were messing with Selective Availability during Gulf War 1.
I also have my own slant on the Air Tables pub 229, but it's a pretty big file at 10Mb. I'll post a link if there's enough interest.

For all files you will have to enable Iteration under Tools/Calculation. The Sight Reduction Spreadsheets require Macros enabled.
The files are password protected to prevent accidental deletion or corruption of any cell. If you wish to delve deeper into the spreadsheets the password is overmydeadbody
If there are any errors in my spreadsheets I would welcome feedback.
Andy
