    Periscopic Sextant Mount Listing--Beware-- Useless
    From: Robert Swartz
    Date: 2020 Aug 18, 20:26 -0700

There is a listing on Ebay for a periscopic sextant mount. It is incomplete as there is no azimuth ring, locking mechanism, or electrical connections.

I queried the seller and got this response:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/NAS-quonset-Kollsman-instrument-corp-Periscope-Sextant-mount-1964-aircraft-equip/303656440658?hash=item46b3559352:g:LpQAAOSw-nRfOXr5

I believe the answer to each of your questions is No. Sorry. Basically you are getting what is pictured and no additional parts.

Does this mount have the azimuth dial and electrical connection?
Can the sextant lock in w/ the locking mechanism?
These were sold as a way to vent pressurized aircraft in event of smoke from an inboard fire.
They are totally useless as a sextant mount.
There is a complete one listed on Ebay w/ the sextant. Notice the difference:
The mounts are quite scarce and bring a premium price as most were left attached when the B 52s and other military aircraft were scrapped.
