    Further to researches into Mr. P.F. Everitt of Henry Hughes and Son:
    -------------
    
    The presicopic sextant invented by Mr. Everitt was displayed for the first 
    time at the S.B.A.S. show in 1948.
    
    BOAC had them fitted to the 22 Canadait fours aircraft for the Atlantic and Middle East routes.

    I have an example of a perscopic sextant by HH and Sons. The early ones had an 
    external clockwork averager like the MkIX.  Mine has an electrical internal 
    device.
