I am currently using CelestNav . It is available from it's home site of http://www.mobilegeographics.com/celestnav and from palmgear.com , handango.com or smaller.com. The about screen says it Includes perpetual nautical almanac, site reduction using HO 229 and 249 functionality, automatic timing of sextant observations w/ utc adjustment, calc of fix from celestial observation and more. Free trial , $39 to register. I am a navigation newbee, but a few check have shown the almanac to match up nicely with other sources. -----Original Message----- From Barry Colman [mailto:res033hf@GTE.NET] Sent: Wednesday, July 26, 2000 4:41 PM To: NAVIGATION-L@LISTSERV.WEBKAHUNA.COM Subject: [NAV-L] Palm-Pilot Does anyone use a Palm-Pilot for navigational purposes or practice..?? If so what program(s) are you using..?? I found one, (MG229), but being a real novice, I have no opinion on its reliability .
