While I've been on the ship for 20 days now, tomorrow will see us put out
to sea for the first time. I have shot a few sun/moons lunars at anchor,
but tomorrow will see some real at-sea Celnav.
I will start with an Azimuth of a star for pre-departure and hope to get
some decent star sights during the twilights. Sadly I have a captain who
likes his TV so we won't be too far from the island. I might have to
practice my dip short of the horizon corrections.
If conditions permit, I intent to shoot Lat/Long at noon for the next three
days to collect some data to test Peter's spreadsheet and my new
calculator. I'll post any data I'm able to collect.
