If the 7x35 mm scope is left mounted on the sextant then that sight tube might fit in the holder if trimmed a little allowing the sextant box to close normally. Try transferring one of the rubber eye cups to the sight tube for added comfort when using on the sextant.

Greg,
Here is a photo of how the two scopes and a sight tube fit in the Astar case. The blck washer that raises the 7 x 35 is placed on the back edge of the box. They all fit regardless of which is left attached to the instrument.
