    A round of sights with opene sight tube can yield very good results:
    Reduction by UNSO/LOC
    DR by GPS 35*19.4 N 119*05.5 W

    Moon UL with mirror AH
    HS 108*22.6
    IC -.24'
    Ref sum +46.2
    Hc 54*26.1

    Sirus
    Hs75*51.0
    Ic same
    Ref 1.3
    Hc37*54.5
    a= 0.7 nm away

    Hc 39*20.5

    An article I read stated that quality of horizon is the most significant source of errors in cel-nav. There was no benfit found in increased magnification for normal sights. Open tube sightscan be as accurate as needed for practical purposes.
