1. Does there exist a free online sight reduction calculator?
Of the type Frank has for the Lunars.
You input GMT, Long and Lat, and it gives you the Sun altitude.
I remember such things existed in the past...2. Question to Frank: I tried to use your calculator for this purpose.
It indeed computes the altitude. I input some random Lunar distance,
I only need Sun's or Venus's altitude.
Is this for the center of the Sun/Venus with no refraction correction?
Or what? And is the accuracy of this altitude 0'1 for the present time (2012)?I tried to reduce one or two altitudes manually, the result disagrees
with Frank's calculator altitude by few minutes.Alex.
