Suppressing one's name and e-mail address on a forum of this nature is not going to make you any more secure.
The large corporations who seek your information will do that easily enough every time you use your credit card in any shop in the world; and the hackers who might wish to be malicious will get what they want without much trouble if they target you and put their mind to it - without your name here.
Why ever would they want to obtain information about a few people with an obscure arcane interest in something like navigation? It does not make much sense.
