Huh? WHY wouldn't he be responsive?(!) I did not understand your pessimistic comment when you originally posted at the beginning of this "beware" thread ("But I hope he will be more constructive than that" you wrote). Why wouldn't any software author be interested in fixing errors in his or her product? Sure, Reis has got problems with his Online Almanac. If he can fix them, great. And I bet he can...
The problem with the star positions in Reis's almanac is potentially more serious than the calendar issue, and will likely take longer to resolve, but I would guess that he can fix it. In the meantime, my online almanac software suffers from none of these anomalies, and it includes several other useful options. It is available here:
