    1) Yes, the user needs to know what the body is, but that can be determined after the fact.  StarStruck has a star map feature that can help.

    2) Sure, sight averaging will help remove random errors, but not systematic errors.  

    3) What is considered a "good fix" is open for discussion.  IMHO, within 3 nm of the actual position is good, within 5 nm is pretty good.

    Good idea, I've checked that App out.  It has been helpful.  It appears a user still needs to be able to determine what object he/she has sighted.  The author claims the accuracy could be reduced with multiple sites to reduce errors and produce a "good fix".  Any thoughts on the validity of that statement?  Or what a "good fix" might be?
