    Hello Andrés,

Quite interesting remark of yours !

Would you still mind elaborating a little further about your quoted formula "f*HP=0.0032" ?

If so, it would imply here that HP=0.0032/0.003352811=0.9544230 , which is a value quite close from the actual one .... in DEGREES (Actual HP=0°.98) ...

From the above formula I would have rather expected to derive HP in dimensionless radians vs. in degrees.

    ... therefore I'm a little lost.

    *******

    A little "experimental" extra :

    With ...

Dt = Topocentic Distance between Observer and Moon Center, and
Dg = Geocentric Distance between Earth Center and Moon Center,

... and since our just computed "0.954420" coefficient is slightly below unity, I wondered whether it could be related to some averaged value of the Dt/Dg dimensionless ratio.

I therefore just played with my Calculator and found the following.

If you use the value "1/298.257 * Dt/Dg" instead of the (averaged?) coefficient "0°.0032" then you get an error on the Parallax significantly reduced (by a factor from 2 to 5).

    Interesting again ???

    *******

    Best Regards

    Antoine M. "Kermit" Couëtte
