I apologize in advance for continuing an off topic thread which seems--
to me--a continuation of what Frank might term, "A slow news day." It is
not my intention to flame, and not directed at you personally Norm.
Rather, to be as objective as possible about the subjective. For
    example, "Coat-hanger art."

I do not remember the source of the comment. (I believe a late-night
comedy show.) If I recall it went something like, "Andy Warhol erased
the fine line between art and crap." I do not necessarily agree.

You are correct, I didn't ask. In my experience this image is crap, its
only saving grace being an eclipse providing the light source. Hence "I
tried to make a silk purse out of a sow's..."

I am not applied physicist, just a practitioner that can construct
foam-core nested boxes with a circle in the back with a light source, a
slot in the back for apertures, and created about any shape or blend I
desire with masks/gels on the front of the box.

How long can we continue look for explanations for a happy accident? And
what is it's *direct* relationship to traditional navigation?
