Possibly. The video that we saw looked to me to show uniform torsional and lateral bending along a beam, hence the ship would be a uniform beam. The Everglades was reportedly built on a cargo ship hull (not Liberty ship) at the end of WWII. The joint that I watched was more like a bellows (going back 50 years) which I think would be used between stiff beams to form the ship structure which then, would flex, but not uniformly.
