    Interesting.  A decade or more ago, freight trains were doing an excellent
    job according to railroad management.  Running on schedule.  When a new CEO
    took over, he noted the standard was--did it get from point A to point B in
    the scheduled amount of time?  Mostly yes.
    
    The question he raised was, did it leave point A when it was supposed to?
    The answer, mostly no. Many left point A days behind schedule. Elapsed time
    a big success.  Scheduled departure dates and arrival dates a dismal
    failure. ;-)
