    In [7919], I had pointed out an objection to John Karl's graphing of a Sun
    altitude peak, that I claimed invalidated his conclusions.
    He replied- "George, I don't understand your point.". And on second
    thoughts, neither do I!
    My thinking was muddled. I withdraw what I wrote, and offer apologies to
    Karl and to anyone else who was puzzled by that posting.
    It's good to note that Karl is now convinced of the correctness of the
    correction method that Jim Wilson has put forward, as being linearly
    dependent on the approach speed of vessel and Sun. The principle of that
    method is indeed correct, and all I've argued against is its applicability,
    in a particular and non-recommended example.
