You are right that the Nobeltec and Nautical Technologies offerings are basically GPS chart programs. However they both include a celestial module for reducing sights. Basically I am interested in getting the benefit of everyone's experience with these products to work out my own road map. I agree that having a laptop on board is neither convenient nor safe (for the laptop).
