I have to agree with Mike.  Stark's tables are the best. I had previously shied away from lunars after having a look at some of the calculations required but when Stark came out with those wonderful tables, I became and instant and dedicated lunarian.

Hi Dan! My Lunars are reduced via Stark`s Tables. I take a number of sites, graph them, line of best fit for a common time and Ds and go for it! I seem to have better luck with stars providing they meet the criteria of lunar path. The criteria are stated in Stark`s Tables. It is quite an endeavor but a heck of a lot better than the old days with its log trig tables etc!! Judging from the contents of the forum`s letters you folks should not have any problems with data reduction! Has anyone had to use Lunars at sea?I would like to know and thanks for the time! Mike.

    Welcome to the group!

How do you do your lunar distance calculations?  Have you written
software to help out?  Do you use tables?  Which ones?  We've had some
great material on lunars presented here over the past year but I am
always looking for more info, more ways to work the sights.
