Hello everyone, I am writing my final report on "ISM code implementation and the impact it has on life on board" considering the overload working conditions and sometimes the not so well trained crews. What I'm trying to answer or better raising the question is, is it really achieving what it stands for? or is it just more paperwork? I'd like to know if there are some officers here who had some experience with the ISM code on board their vessels who would like to send me their insights about their respective situations "off the records" of course so I can broaden my range of research. This is not a very popular subject to talk about... i've been through an implementation of the ISM code on my last ship and I know how it is. I just want to know your opinions. Thanks again and sorry for writing something not so related to celestial navigation again. Please reply to my personal address: petrocelli@fcien.edu.uy TIA, Gaston Petrocelli Merchant Marine Officer
