Re: Need formulas for arcsin and arctan

    Andrew:

If you are using a scientific calculator, there should be an "arc"
function button that will shift from calculating sine to calculating
    arcsine.

If you have a computer with Excel (or equivalent), there is an arcsine
(and arctan) function available in the spreadsheet.

Finally, since arcsine(x) is simply "the angle whose sine is x" scanning
down a conventional table of sines will easily give you the answer to a
degree (and you could interpolate to an even finer value) which should
    be enough for a sundial.
