For those of us that receive Navlist postings by email, those useful sequential message-numbers which accompanied each posting disappeared at New Year. There have been promises of reinstatement, but that has not yet happened. I am aware that the message numbers can be discovered by referring to the webpage, but that's not the same as having each incoming email tagged with its number. Already, there are two months' worth of emails from Navlist held here on my system, unnumbered. Where it gets particularly difficult is when posters identify such messages by message-numbers, as Antoine has been doing, in his Arago postings. Not that I am suggesting he stops doing so; they are a convenient way of referring to messages, and indexing them. If only they were available to all Navlist users, as used to be the case.
