Here is the Bowditch vol. 2 1984 and 1975 side by side along with a Nautical Almanac. The 1975 edition is 5/8" thinner than the 1984 edition. Both contain an LTA, Ageton, Trig, and Haversine tables for at least 3 ways to peform complete sight reduction. Lots of other useful tables such as prime vertical, amplitude, ex-meridian, time speed distance, meridianal parts, NA extracts, etc. The LTA has a base year of 1972 which is ok for Aries but off by a few minutes on Sun declination and GHA for 2015. Adding 8 hours to Sun UT seems to give better results throughout 2015. Doing the LTA for every third day makes for unnecessary difficulty:) Every other day would have been better. Pub 249 LTA for the Sun is more practical and could be photocopied as a Bowditch LTA insert.
