Late September might be good. We recently were at Peabody Essex Museum to see American Expressionist paintings..... great stuff, great museum!
Also, two or three weeks ago I was working with some other Mystic  Pilots on some hull planks for the Morgan (currently in dry dock). By the way a hull plank could be 44 ft long, 18" wide, and finish thickness of 3 1/2 ", white oak.  Fun putting it through a planer.  By next year the Morgan should be much further along, and there are many neat things to see and discuss at Mystic.  Harvard also has a lot of interesting artifacts....very convenient to airport. I bet Harvard would be difficult to organize, "but count me in" and I'll help in whatever way I can (especially if it is here in New England).  Mystic Seaport seems willing to host groups .

    Subject: [NavList] Navigation Weekend: 2012

It's that time again! It's been nearly a year and a half since our last gathering of navigators, navigation enthusiasts, and scholars in the history and mathematics of navigation. Previous Navigation Weekends were held in June of 2006, 2008, and 2010 at Mystic Seaport in Mystic, Connecticut. For 2012, I would like to plan for a September gathering. I would be interested in hearing opinions from all who might attend or who can't attend. We could also try for a different location if that's of interest.
