    Navigation List Archive

Just wanted to mention that the Navigation list archive has been
extensively, though not completely, indexed by google for searching.
There's now a search box right on the main page here:
This archive displays current messages almost as quickly as they
distribute to the list by email, and it includes most of the messages
sent during the past nine or ten years on earlier incarnations of the
navigation list. Try searching on "lunars" or "Bowditch", for example,
to see how many messages cover these topics. The googlebots come and
go as they please, so there's no way to guarantee a complete search of
this archive, and it is still easy to find examples of messages that
have not yet been indexed. I still intend to add a proper local search
    starting next month.
PLEASE NOTE: if you're a list lurker and you've been following NavList
messages by visiting the googlegroups page, the archive on fer3.com is
    superior in most respects:
    --Formatted messages display correctly.
    --There are no ads.
    --The messages load faster.
--And of course, it covers a much longer stretch of time.
Thanks go to Dan Allen for maintaining a giant bulk archive of
messages for his many years on the list. That was the basis for the
historical portion of the NavList archive on fer3.com.
By the way, I'm sorry I haven't been able to participate in the list
discussions much in the past six weeks. I'm very busy finishing up a
MacOSX edition of the Centennia Historical Atlas. It should be "done"
in less than two weeks. After that, I'll be posting more often.
