I want to get information on present ship gyro for a study. I did this once before while aboard Navy Ships. The precheck was always" we have zero gyro error" The check show difference in a large % of the check. Some were due to alignment most were due to the reference Azimuth Circle. I would like to make a study of ships gyro of present ships. I don't know if the yards setting compass
Still use the azimuth circle as their reference? All Navigation personnel. Please check your ships gyro using only Franklin piloting technique. Please send the results to Byronink@netzero.com . Gyro only. any size ship, state size.
