For those of you who keep up with messages by mobile phone text message (or twitter messages), there is a formatting change showing the message number embedded in the short URL. For future messages, within a minute on average, as each NavList message is posted, you will get a text message that looks like this:

The format is "subject (truncated), author's email (truncated), message size, short link". The short link should usually be "clickable" and will take you directly to that message. The number at the end of the short link is the NavList message number, in this case it's "NavList 11804". To get these messages via twitter, send "follow NavListNews" from your twitter account. To get these messages by standard text messaging, enter your mobile phone SMS email address via the member settings tool at
http://fer3.com/arc/memsettings.aspx.
Incidentally, you can also use the above short URL format to reference any NavList message in the past five years (eventually all messages, but not right now). If you want to send somebody a quick link to NavList message 10000, you would use fer3.com/x.aspx/10000
