I was happy that I got the chance to meet several members of the group
at Mystic on June 6th and I wish I could have spent more time with the
group but  it was only serendipity that allowed me to be there at all. I
left California on May 2nd with my third wife (my first wife died in
1978 and my second, five years ago) for our honeymoon trip around the
United States. We are going in a counter clockwise direction, we are in
Quebec City right now. It wasn't until we were well along that I
realized that the timing might work out right for me to get to Mystic
and we adjusted our travel schedule somewhat to make it happen. But my
wife (who, understandably, has no great interest in celestial
navigation) was anxious to move along as we had to catch the early
morning ferry out to Martha's Vineyard. The presentations that I did get
to see were quite interesting and I hope that Geoffrey Kolbe we share
more of his Sahara adventures with the group.
