    We may conclude several things...

First of all, I was not surveyed either. It appears that you did not pole
over 200 members, but you have just reported that there ARE over 200
    members.

Second, most chart stores do not get the new almanacs in stock until
November or December, so I usually do not buy my almanac until late in the
year. It makes a nice "stocking stuffer"... :-)

Third, it would be better to take such a survey of those that have an
almanac for 2004 already. I do, and I am sure many others do. Often people
will not buy an almanac until they actually have a voyage that requires it.

Fouth, I use a computer program far more than I do the paper almanac. In
fact I never use the printed almanac, except as a check upon my computer
    program.

    Good survey question!

    Dan

    Hello All Stations,

In a discussion about the role of CN at sea, Ken Gebhart pointed out
that the sales of Almanacs would probably be a good indicator. After a
little survey, I found out that out of over 200 members of the
navigation list, zero members are currently in possession of the
government edition of the Nautical Almanac for the year 2005. What may
    we conclude from this data?
