Yes, I had thought of that. I know that the current almanac comes with a
formula for calculating the data for the following year. I was going on
Huntford's narrative of the events. Huntford seems to imply that this (lack
of the 1912 almanac) was a critical factor and one which drove Amundsen on.

Did the 1911 almanac come with this formula?
