Now that I know how to use it the app works on both my S8 and on an old android tablet. The new interface is easy to use. Yesterday I had the hczn screen open. From time to time I opened the time control and incremented the time. This allowed me to keep track of the sun and venus.
At one point the sun and venus were within a few degrees in altitude, which provided a vertical reference point. Unfortunately I could not see venus, probably due to the high cloud I mentioned in another post.
