The NC-77 Tamaya navigational computer was very popular aboard ships and small craft from the mid 1970s on but the device suffered the major flaw of an an almanac expiration date on the last day of 1999. Many of these well made calculators still survive including the one I purchased new in 1980 ($350 ouch!). To keep the almanac current try using Geoffrey Kolbe's Long Term Almanac quad corrections plus one quad for the NC-77 base years of 1996 through 1999. The GHA/DEC. correction for the Sun needs daily correcting and the GHA of Aries needs annual correcting. Try penciling the quad corrections directly of the face of the calculator right by the ALM button.
