Since we are discussing, at least tangentially, the size of the
navigation computation equipment carried aboard, I am going to take this
opportunity to plug my Flat Bygrave accompanied with the long term
almanac from H.O. 249. The Flat Bygrave is only two pages, sealed in
plastic, the almanac is only 4 pages and the forms are two more pages,
total only eight sheets of paper in plastic protector sheets. All you
need to make one for yourself is available here: https://sites.google.com/site/fredienoonan/other-flight-navigation-information/modern-bygrave-slide-rule https://sites.google.com/site/fredienoonan/other-flight-navigation-information/self-contained-long-term-celestial-navigation-system I have attached two photos, one showing all eight pages spread out and the second showing them in a plastic case. The Bowditch is used for scale. gl --- On Tue, 4/10/12, Greg Rudzinski <gregrudzinski@yahoo.com> wrote:
