Tamaya of Tokyo is known to have made sextants for others to brand. There was also a Tamaya of Osaka, said by the present day Tamaya Tokyo to have been unrelated. I have a sextant named "Albertus J Huysamer" which is indistinguishable from a Tamaya, right down to the box and form of certificate, except that it has a prismatic monocular and polarising shades.

Photographs of the front and of the micrometer mechanism of your sextant would be helpful. The inspection certificate may also give clues
