Hi Frank A.
I have an Astra III B which I purchased used from Mike Burkes a few years
ago. Mike had it for a number of years. It has not had a “ton” of use by
me, but seems very stable. I’ve never used it with batteries.
I’d recommend it, especially if you can find a used one.

I tried out a recently purchased Astra IIIB yesterday. Suitably impressed.
Not new but never used by the look and feel of it.
