I've not seen the movie and it is very low on my 'To Do' list. Coaxial connectors for use with RF coaxial cables such as commonly found in radio and radar usage may also come with a hexagonal shape as opposed to the common round knurl shape referenced. Marine conditions are harsh for metals, particularly for dis-similar combinations such as coaxial connectors from different manufacturers that have been mated. A similar hexagonal shape is also used on some precision coaxial connectors (very expensive) allowing precise torque wrench operation and these are usually found in electronic labs. This enhances the connection repeatability factor. Frank J. On 12/15/2013 11:54 PM, Norm Goldblatt wrote: > Thanks for the compliments. Wrench-wise, just meant to comment that only a wrench with serrated jaws would work on the knurled but otherwise flat-less nut. It can't be turned with Crescent adjustable or fixed open-end because of the smooth gripless jaw surfaces. Yes- Channel-loks are the most appropriate. > I just bought a pair of anti-mar rubber jaw covers for my Channel locks.
