For those new to NavList, I posed this question three years ago here http://fer3.com/arc/m2.aspx/Seeing-Moon-rising-an-setting-Tschudin-feb-2010-g11928 I questioned whether it would be possible at all or only under certain very clear sky conditions. From statements made by observers like Frank I understand that it is possible to see it but only under very rare clear sky conditions. I was not able to see it in the metropolitan area but there the air is also not particular clean. Marcel
