Re: Moon total correction- round it up?

I have been chasing tenths of a minute for four years, but I know it's just an exercise. Columbus was around 97% accurate in his navigation using only a compass and DR. A study on sextant accuracy I read stated that the quality of the horizon was the biggest factor in accuracy. That study and my own practice show magnification has little to do with accuracy. As many have pointed out, the motion of a small boat will be an accuracy limiter. But at sea, if you get within 5 to 10 miles you can see your landfall. Just my 2 cents.
    Regards, Randy
