I was putting the cover on my 12 foot plastic pool tonight when I noticed that the reflection of the moon in the water was not wiggling so I went and got my Tamaya and took a shot using the still water in the pool as the artificial horizon. Watch time: 22:02:41 9-1-2012 local WC - 34 ZT 22:02:07 ZD + 7 GMT 05:02:07 9-2-2012 AP 34° 16.6' N, 118° 54.0' W Hc 27°04.1' from http://aa.usno.navy.mil/cgi-bin/aa_flamenav.pl Sextant reading 52°01.7' IC -.5' 52°01.2' divide by 2 Hs 26°00.6' Sum of Ref, SD and P in A corrections +63.5' from http://aa.usno.navy.mil/cgi-bin/aa_flamenav.pl Ho 27° 04.1' Hc 27° 04.1' Int 00.0 !!!!!! |
