I am attaching an eight page PDF file of pages from the current Air Almanac chosen so that the parallax in altitude correction tables cover all of the possible values from 54 to 61 minutes of horizontal parallax for the moon. I am doing this in case anyone wants to make a clearer comprehensive correction table, just cut out (or cut and paste) the 8 correction tables and assemble one complete table.

That's why I think it is best to teach using the correction tables contained in the Air Almanac where each of the corrections are applied separately. Then, after the student understands what is going on, you can intrduce the Nautical Almanac correction tabls (if you want to.) The only problem with this is that the P in A table is printed on each daily page of the Air Almanac for the value of the horizontal paralax of the moon for that particular day and the Nautical Almanac doesn't have these table. See attached. So, thirty years ago, I cut out one table for each of the possible values of HP, from 54 to 61 minutes, and glued them inside the cover of my navigation notebook, which I am attaching.
