my kit is these things most are atached to a 1m piece of paracord knotted into a loop.

emergency-nav-creditcards , that means among other things I have two small protractors...
bris with calibration sheet (lanyard knotted to loop)
    Geoffrey Kolbe Long term almanac
Casio 82ES plus calculator and extra battery
3 waterproof wristwatches (quarts) strung on one piece of 20mm nylon webbing (loop)
High end mechanical watch (always worn)
several wooden pencils (erazor top) stored in "Maglite" pouch where I also have a LED maglite (loop)
Pencil sharpener (glued to notepad backing)
    small waterproof notepad (loop)
    deck of playingcards (plastic)
    Garmin GPS
    letherman

Quite a bit heavier than yours Greg, on the other hand I think the GPS and Kolbe LTA are improvement enough to justify greater weight.
If you add in the rest of my ditch kit it adds up to a 20l backpack nearly full, it contains the usual; watermaker, fishing kit, water, signalmirror, flares...
some I always have on me (creditcards, watch, bris, pencil, notepad, letherman).
