Now that the topic is broached.... 5 or more years ago the all encompassing ditch bag was the topic of conversation. Best handheld VHF was discussed. One criteria was replaceable AA batteries, as opposed to some special battery or rechargeable. I am in need of a current-model handheld. Any input would be appreciated. Bill B
