I have been thinking for a while that making replacement sextant adjustment tools would be a nice application of 3D printing. They're simple objects, relatively easy to create virtually in the usual tools. Home printing with standard ABS plastic should produce tools durable enough for sextant adjustment, and if one worries about tool lifetime, you could always print ten!
