I am a recovering survivor of Hurricane Frances, and one of the things that entertained me, and kept my spirits up through a very difficult three weeks has been the discussion on Mers el Kebir which I knew very little about with memorable input from George, Jared and Jan, not to slight anyone else. My interests go beyond navigation and encompass the history, lore and tradition of all things naval and maritime, and I applaud everyone who contributed.
Joel Jacobs.
