Meeting up before the Greenwich symposium.
    From: George Huxtable
    Date: 2010 May 2, 23:03 +0100

The symposium on the history of navigation will take place at Greenwich on
    6th-7th May.
I know, already, the names of several Navlist members who plan to attend,
    and have contacted them.
This message is for anyone else planning to be at that symposium.
It's relevant only to those who expect to be in or around Greenwich on the
    Wednesday evening.
If you think it might be worthwhile to meet up for a chat, and perhaps a
meal, and don't have anything better to do, here's a suggestion.
Joan and I, and Clive, expect to be at the Cutty Sark Tavern that evening,
from about 7pm. We will try to find a quiet corner somewhere, or perhaps a

in, they would be most welcome.

your left), along the riverside walkway, without being distracted by the
Trafalgar Tavern on the way. Or so I'm told; I'm unfamiliar with the
    attractions of Greenwich.
For those that haven't met me before, I look somewhat like Father Christmas
(to the extent that Joan is always known, in our village shop, as "Mrs
There's no need to respond to this note, but you can if you like.
