    Just a ditto here; I agree with  HP on this. Sounds like you're asking about
    "solid angle". For example, a nebula  seen from Earth may be said to have a
    diameter measured in minutes of arc or  radians (that's arc), or an area
    measured in square minutes of arc or steradians  (that's solid angle).
