The kick of the cannon in the movie seemed awfully tame. On either Consitution in Boston, or Victory in Portsmouth, a guide showed us impressions of cannon marks on overhead beams caused by the cannon when they bucked during firing. Ever since I have less enjoyed movie portrayals of sea battles.
