Great book, mine a Christmas present. Much more balanced account of the Harrison clock v longitude debate. I think poor old Maskelyne has been much maligned by the Harrison propaganda machine over the years. His achievements, including the Nautical almanac and early work on lunars must be as important as the chronometer?
